Material & Durability
Gold-Filled Stainless Steel Chain
The stainless steel base gives the chain good strength and durability for everyday wear. It generally resists bending and maintains its finish better than many softer metals.
To help preserve the gold finish, avoid prolonged exposure to perfume, chlorine, strong chemicals and moisture.
Gold-Plated Copper Frame
Copper has a long history in jewelry-making and is valued for its warm tone and workability.
Because the frame is gold plated over copper, the outer gold finish may gradually soften with wear and reveal some of the natural copper tone underneath. This can happen depending on body chemistry, moisture and friction.
This is a normal characteristic of plated copper jewelry.
