Maral discovered these earrings during a visit to a street market in Mexico City, where a local artisan was selling handcrafted pieces to support their livelihood.
Made by hand in brass, the earrings combine intricate wirework, woven turquoise-coloured details, dark stone accents and a delicate fan of moving metal elements. Every curve, connection and irregularity reflects the human hands behind the work.
The Local Artisan Collection was created from Maral’s commitment to supporting independent makers in the cities she visits—especially artisans who bring their work to local streets and markets, creating each piece by hand to build a life through their craft.

During her travels, Maral seeks out local makers—particularly independent artisans selling handcrafted work in street markets.
By bringing selected pieces to Maralkunst, she hopes to support their creativity, preserve the human story behind the object and introduce their work to a new owner in another part of the world.
Every piece carries the journey of its maker, the place where it was discovered and the person who eventually chooses to wear it.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Brass naturally develops a deeper patina with time, air and contact with the skin. This is part of its living character. To slow this process, avoid water, perfume, creams and cleaning products. Store the earrings separately in a dry place and wipe gently with a soft cloth after wearing.
